  • MediaForum  A project of the University of Minnesota's Children, Youth, and Family Consortium. MediaForum includes the research, policy and opinion documents to inform users about the myriad of social, economic and policy factors around media's influence in the lives of children and families. MediaForum was developed for Family Reunion IV: The Family and the Media held July 9-10, 1995 in Nashville Tennessee. MediaForum also contains listings of other useful information on the World Wide Web relating to Families and the Media
  • Parents Protection Page  Vice President Gore announces the Parents' Protection Page, a site that will give parents access to tools to help protect children while on the Internet.
  • The Stay Alert ... Stay Safe (Canada) project aims to help kids develop street smarts -- both in the real world and on the Web. Lots of helpful info, tips and online resources. Stuff for parents as well as children.
  • The Internet Filter Assessment Project is one of the many sites that attempts to filter the content you can receive while viewing the internet.
  • TV Parental Guideline. This site is for parents interested in television for their children! It offers parents some advance cautionary information so they can better supervise the TV watching of their young children. The Parental Guidelines are modeled after the familiar movie ratings which parents have know and valued for nearly 30 years. They are designed to be simple to use, easy to understand and handy to find.
  • National Institute on Media and the Family Use this section to explore and evaluate your familyís media habits.
